Old Holy Trinity Church, Wentworth, South Yorkshire

Old Holy Trinity Church — Own Photograph

A church was recorded on the site of the Old Holy Trinity in 1235, but the only remnant from around this date is the ledger slab in the floor that sits in front of the vestry door.

The Church was restored in 1684 for William Wentworth, 2nd Earl of Strafford, but the tower can be dated back to 1491.
